Nasal polyps-
Nasal polyps are grape like, non malignant growths on the lining of nasal passages or sinuses.
Small nasal polyps may cause no problems and go unnoticed. Larger nasal polyps can block your nasal passages or sinuses and cause breathing difficulties, a loss of ones sense of smell, frequent sinus infections and other problems.
Although nasal polyps can affect anyone, they’re more common in adults, particularly those with asthma,
frequent sinus infections and allergies. Children with cystic fibrosis often develop nasal polyps.
Medications can often lessen the size of nasal polyps or eliminate them, but surgery is sometimes necessary
to remove them. Even after successful treatments, nasal polyps often return.
Nasal polyps are associated with chronic inflammation of the lining of your nasal
passages and sinuses (chronic sinusitis). If you have several polyps or large polyps, they may obstruct your nasal
passages and sinuses. As a result of these conditions in your nose and sinuses, you may experience some of the following-
signs and symptoms:
and A runny nose
and Persistent nasal blockage
and Postnasal drip
and Decreased or no sense of smell
and Loss of sense of taste
and Facial pain or headache
and Snoring
Any condition that contributes to chronic inflammation in the nasal passages or sinuses
(chronic sinusitis), such as infections or allergies, may increase your risk of nasal polyps.
Conditions often associated with nasal polyps include:
and Asthma, a disease that causes inflammation and constriction of airways
and Aspirin sensitivity, an allergy-like response to aspirin or other nonsteroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs — such as ibuprofen and naproxen
and Allergic fungal sinusitis, an allergy to fungus in the sinuses
and Cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that results in the production
and secretion of abnormal fluids, including thick mucus from nasal and sinus membranes
অন্যের ব্যাপারে `নাকগলানো` যেমন ভালো কাজ নয়,
তেমনি নাকের কোনো সমস্যা নিয়ে উদাসীন থাকাটাও মোটেই সচেতন মানুষের কাজ নয়।
নাক, কান ও গলা- এ তিনটি মানবদেহের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গ। এর যে কোন একটি আক্রান্ত হলে সমস্ত শরীরটা অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ে।
বিনা অপারেশনে নাকের পলিপাস, সাইনোসাইটিস বা নাকের যে কোন সমস্যায়ঃ-

১। নাক দিয়ে অনর্গল পাতলা পানি ঝড়া।
২। এক নাক বন্ধ, এক নাক খোলা।
৩। প্রায়ই ঠান্ডা লেগে থাকা, প্রায়ই হাঁচি এবং সাথে কাশি।
৪। মাথায় প্রচন্ড যন্ত্রণা, মাথা ভার হয়ে থাকা।
৫। নাকের মধ্যে মাংস বৃদ্ধির কারেণ শ্বাসকষ্ট।
৬। যে সকল ছাত্র-ছাত্রী যাদের নাকে পলিপ আছে, তারা বেশি সময় পড়াশোনা করার কারণে মাথার সম্মুখ ভাগ ভার হয়ে যায় ও পড়াশোনায় অমনোযোগী সৃষ্টি হয়।
নাকের পলিপাস এক বা উভয় নাকের ভিতর হতে পারে। প্রথমে এটা দেখতে মটরশুঁটির মতো হয়।
আস্তে আস্তে বড় হয়ে নাসিকার ছিদ্র বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। অনেক সময় ন্যাজাল পলিপাস থেকে রক্ত বের হতে দেখা যায়।
নাকের পলিপাস দেখতে আঙ্গুরের মতো হয়।
নাকের ভিতর সর্দি শ্লেস্মা জমাট বাধে।নাকের ছিদ্র বন্ধ হলে মুখ দিয়ে নিঃশ্বাস নিতে হয়।
*নাক থেকে পচা দুর্গন্ধ বাহির হয়। *নাকে কথা বলা। নাকের ভিতর এবং উপরিভাগে ব্যাথা।
* কপাল এবং মাথার দু'পাশে শিরা ব্যাথা। * সর্বদা ঠান্ডা লেগে থাকতে পারে।রক্তে সিরাম আইজিইয়ের পরিমাণ বেড়ে গেলে ঠাণ্ডা,
সর্দ্দি, হাঁচি-কাশি ও নাক দিয়ে টপ টপ করে পানি পড়তে পারে।
অনেক সময় মাথাব্যথা হয়, নাক ও কান চুলকায়, নাকে ব্যথা ও স্মৃতিশক্তি কমে যায় ।
কারো কারো মাথার মধ্যভাগে ব্যাথা হয়।
পলিপাস প্রায় সময় নরম, নীল বর্ণ, মসৃণ শ্বেতময় ও পুঁজময় ক্ষত হতে দেখা যায়।
* দীর্ঘদিন চিকিৎসাহীন অবস্থায় থাকলে পলিপাস থেকে এ্যজমা এবং কোল্ড এ্যজমা হতে পারে।
